The Billboard Music Awards just got a huge dose of A-list power with news that Rihanna is set to hit the stage during the Sunday, May 22 awards show!
Rihanna joins previously announced performers Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Justin Bieber, DNCE, The Go-Go’s, Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes, P!nk, Troye Sivan, and Britney Spears. Yesterday, it was announced that Madonna would also be performing a tribute to the late Prince. Also taking the stage this year are 2016 iHeartRadio MMVA performers Fifth Harmony and Nick Jonas. Fifth Harmony will be joined by Ty Dolla $ign, while Nick Jonas is set to perform with his “Close” collaborator Tove Lo.
Rihanna’s singles “Work” featuring Drake and “Kiss It Better” off her eighth studio album Anti have been steaming up the charts for most of 2016.
Rihanna has been touring North America in support of Anti, but took some time out of her busy schedule to play the first weekend of Coachella with her “We Found Love” collaborator Calvin Harris during his closing set. The two have teamed up once again to release the EDM love track “This Is What You Came For.”
