Sam Smith Throws Shade At Thom Yorke, Radiohead And Their ‘Spectre’ Theme Song


Sam Smith took home the Golden Globe this Sunday for Best Original Song for his Spectre theme song, Writing’s On The Wall, but not before throwing shade at Radiohead in the press room.

After the award show, a reporter asked him how he felt about the Thom Yorke releasing the rejected theme song that Radiohead had done for the film before choosing Smith’s track instead. Before answering, he asks his collaborator Jimmy Napes, “Thom Yorke?”.

Smith also admitted that he hadn’t listened to Radiohead’s moody, dark theme song, titled simply, Spectre.
