Seth Rogen may best be known for his stoner comedies like This Is The End and Superbad, but the multi-talented actor, writer and comedian can now check off yet another box in his list of achievements – lip syncer.
Rogen appeared on The Tonight Show this month to promote his new R-rated animated film, Sausage Party. In addition to talking about the new film, Rogen and Fallon dusted off the Lip Sync Battle mics on The Tonight Show and got to work throwing down.
Host and veteran lip-syncher Jimmy Fallon did an admirable job performing Kent Jones’ “Don’t Mind” and kicking it old school for Onyx’s “Slam,” but he was no competition for Rogen, who not only showed his Canadian patriotism, but did something no other contestant before him has attempted.
Enlisting the help of The Roots, the house band played their 1995 track, “Mellow My Man,” live while Rogen rapped along, afro pick in hand.
As if that wasn’t cool enough, Rogen then threw on a chunky cable knit turtleneck and did his best Drake impression for “Hotline Bling.”
He did the double arms.
The ‘hold up a minute’ finger point.
The pretend phone call.
And the classic knee wave. Well played.
Watch The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Monday to Friday at 11:30E on CTV Two and catch repeats weekdays at 4E/1P on Much.
