After summer festival season winds down, avid gig goers will still have POP Montreal to retreat to, Taking place September 26-30, the 17th iteration of POP Montreal has announced its initial lineup, featuring SOPHIE, Wanda Jackson, Kilo Kish, Venetian Snares X Daniel Lanois, Homeshake, and Wolf Parade.
Other notable acts include U.S. Girls, King Khan & The Shrines, Lena Platonos, Molly Nilsson, JPEGMAFIA, Equiknoxx, Bush Tetras, and The Charlatans UK.
The non-profit festival offers a diverse collective of both local and international talent. Homeshake, Montreal-based indie sweethearts, are one of many Canadian acts featured. Leif Vollebekk, No Joy, Clairmont The Second, The Weather Station, Nap Eyes, and Jaunt are more homegrown artists to look out for at this year’s POP Montreal.

POP also hosts a variety of programming during its five-day event with other instalments such as Film POP, Art POP, POP Symposium, Puces POP, and Kids POP.
As the released lineup only includes the first wave of artists, expect more musical acts to be added. For now and until May 28, POP Montreal Discovery Passes are available at a promotional price of $100 and are available here.
