Happy St. Patty’s Day! On a joyous day like today—or any day, really—it’s extremely important to have the perfect playlist when out celebrating with friends.

This song, which came out way back in 1992, is celebrating tje 25th anniversary since its release—and, to top it off, the music video was filmed during NYC’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Pour a drink, toast your friends, and “get out your seat and jump around.”
With upbeat accordions and fiddles galore, this American-Celtic punk band’s song has huge St. Patty’s potential. As well, the song was featured in the 2006 Academy Award-winning Best Picture The Departed.
It’s no wonder this Irish rock band’s song is still holding strong after all these years. Rolling Stone magazine included the song in their 500 Greatest Songs of All Time in 2004, and especially today, we’d have to agree.
This Irish girl group’s 1998 track is the epitome of what late 90s and early 2000s music is all about—happy-go-lucky mottos and goofy, sugary pop.
While this is definitely a slower, moodier jam, it’s still a huge track that celebrates Irish talent like Hozier’s.
This Grammy award winning song is about as feel-good as it gets, and with the sun shining like it is today, we can’t think of a better tune for shenanigans.
The rap duo pays tributes to the wonderful people of Ireland with lyrics like, “I’m an Irishman/ Leather weather Irish skin/ Beard orange as the sunset over the flag.”
Everyone’s favourite redhead channels his Irish roots when he released this song, which is about the talented fiddler Niamh Dunne from Limerick, Ireland. Anyone else here wish you were the girl he was talking about?
The Dublin-born singer released this amazing rendition of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” in 1990, and it still gets us choked up to this day. Maybe save this one for when you’re home from celebrating.
