Taylor Swift And Brendon Urie To Open Billboard Music Awards With Performance Of New Single

Swifties won’t have to wait very long for a live performance of Taylor Swift’s new single “ME!” Billboard announced this morning that Swift will open the BBMAs with the performance along with Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie, who is featured on the track. The song and music video were released midnight Friday morning following fan speculation over all of the clues Swift had dropped.

The BBMAs will mark the first worldwide performance of the track and will be the first of two performances that night for Urie. Panic! At The Disco was announced as a performer earlier this month, the first BBMA performance for the band.

This year’s BBMAs is going to be one full of worldwide performance premieres. Madonna and Maluma are set to perform “Medellín” for the first time, while BTS will perform “Boy With Luv” alongside Halsey for the first time. The K-pop band recently performed the single on Saturday Night Live, but Halsey was not there to perform with them.

Halsey will perform solo Wednesday night as well along with Ciara, Dan + Shay with Tori Kelly, and the Jonas Brothers. Viewers can also enjoy two medley performances from Mariah Carey and Paula Abdul. Carey will perform her greatest hits, along with receiving this year’s Icon Award, while Abdul’s medley is this year’s annual throwback performance.
