Back in 2007, the Spice Girls had finally reunited after we spent years crying over our Tiger Beat magazines and writing about our feelings in our Lisa Frank diaries after Geri Halliwell left the group. Thankfully by this time, all five women had kissed and made up, setting off on a reunion tour that marked the first time all five members had performed together since 1998.
Our cameras caught up with Halliwell along with Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Victoria Beckham in 2007 to share how things were different now that the girl group was back in the studio together. Here’s something we never knew – Posh is the funny one. So THAT’S how you land David Beckham. We knew it had to be more than talent and looks, although those probably helped too.
The reunion helped the Spice Girls to win the Brits Performance of 30 Years at the 2010 Brit Awards, a special award that was given to artists who made a large contribution to British music. Of course, the Spice Girls first made history with the Brit Awards when they won Best British Video and Best British Single in 1997 and Ginger rocker her Union Jack Dress.
