Tegan and Sara announced this week on their Instagram page that their upcoming eighth studio album Love You To Death, which is set to be released on June 3, will feature a music video for every track. All 10 music videos will have a distinctly different look, with the Quin sisters working with a new artist for each video.
So far from the newly announced 2016 iHeartRadio MMVA performers we’ve seen the video for “Boyfriend” reunite the sisters with their “I Was A Fool” star Mae Whitman in the fun and carefree clip. In addition to Whitman, the Quin sisters star alongside designer Rachel Antonoff, actress Sarah Ramos, and Canadian writer Kelly Oxford’s daughter Bea in the fun and quirky video within a video.
Tegan and Sara also released a new video for their track “U Turn” this week. Working with musician and visual artist Seth Bogart, Tegan and Sara run, walk, and drive through an illustrated cityscape while wearing matching black leather jackets and over-eyebrow eye shadow that has us rushing to YouTube for make-up tutorials.
Now Tegan and Sara are officially trying to kill us with cuteness in today’s brand new video, the Jess Rona-directed “100X”. The emotional piano-driven ballad is enough to make us tear up on its own, but throw in a parade of cute dogs with their puppy dog eyes and a wind machine? Sob city, population: us.
For even more puppy love you can check out Rona’s Instagram page here and travel down the rabbit hole of wet and fluffy doggies.
In addition to new videos, the Quin sisters have also announced a global tour in support of Love You To Death, with shows in the U.K., U.S., Australia, China, Japan, and their home country of Canada. Kicking off with a show in L.A. on May 2, the tour will take the twins across the globe until November, with eight Canadian dates scheduled.
