Whether you’ve been closely following the 2018 Winter Olympics coverage from Pyeongchang or have barely noticed the constant curling now available on TV, there’s a good chance you know that Canada’s Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue took home gold Monday night in the Pairs Ice Dance.
This isn’t the first time the pair have stood together on the Olympic podium. At the 2010 Winter Olympic games in Vancouver, they won gold on home ice.
Four years later, they took home silver at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
After clinching the gold medal on Monday night, Virtue and Moir became the most decorated figure skaters in the history of the Olympics.

It. Was. A. Moment.
If this is the last time we see @TessaVirtue and @ScottMoir on Olympic ice, what a moment it was.

Not only was their performance record setting for its high score, it was also super…hot. Like, I-can’t-believe-they-showed-that-on-TV hot. The stereotype of Canadians being too polite? Virtue and Moir just made our new stereotype that we’re all super hot, so thanks guys!
Canada is shook.
This just in: Scott Moir just told Tessa Virtue “you complete me”. In related news, Canada will be closed for meltdown renovations until 2023.

The world is shook.
Me, this morning: “Who the hell are Virtue and Moir?”
Me, this evening, opening weeping and screaming at the TV: “JUST TELL TESSA YOU LOVE HER.”

Kidding/Not kidding.

While the pair’s win put Canada into a state of celebration, the world appears to be celebrating along with us. Mostly, they’re celebrating how hot our figure skaters are. It’s true. They’re hot.
Fun Fact: After every Virtue and Moir performance, Canada has a cigarette.

Although the longtime skating partners deny they’re dating, no one is convinced. The world is invested in their story.
I’m not nearly as invested in my own career as I am in Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue’s.
— Anne T. Donahue (@annetdonahue) February 20, 2018
No one is buying the friendship story.
I just want someone to look at me the way I look at Virtue & Moir.
— Kevin Fallon (@kpfallon) February 20, 2018
There could be an app for that.
Imagine a dating app that finds you your Tessa Virtue or Scott Moir.
— Nick Ross (@NickBossRoss) February 20, 2018
It’s only fair.
Virtue and Moir just caused their entire country to cry, the least they can do is go on ONE date.
— Eilish Sullivan (@EilishSullivan) February 20, 2018
A small wedding isn’t too much to ask for, right?
Nevermind a gold medal, it seems most of Canada will be disappointed with Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir’s free skate if it doesn’t end with a proposal and wedding. #Olympics #IceDancing

We’d settle for a kiss.

Fellow Canadian Ryan Reynolds is hoping the pair will raise his children to be champions.
Go @TeamCanada!!@CassieSharpe is a legend — makin’ it look easy. And thank you @tessavirtue & @ScottMoir for agreeing to raise my children as your own.

Of course, one of the couple’s biggest shipper is SNL cast member Leslie Jones, who should get a gold medal for her coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics.
I know I’m not supposed to like them so much but…. @NBCOlympics @olympics pic.twitter.com/Hl1ryc9ZaP

Along with an Olympic gold medal, Virtue and Moir should get an Oscar for Best Performance by Friends who Aren’t A Couple But Look Like A Couple.
I mean, sure, platonic. #VirtueMoir pic.twitter.com/4nzbDXEGCA
