The Angry Birds Movie Jumps From Cellphones To The Big Screen

Angry Birds Movie

The game that has taken up so much of your (bathroom) time is now being made into a movie, proving that wasting time on your phone is just film studies in disguise. We are all scholars.

The Angry Birds Movie stars Jason Sudeikis as Red, the angriest bird of them all. Thanks to his bushy eyebrows, Red has been mocked since childhood, turning him into a loner with a short fuse.

When Bird Island gets a visit from a ship full of mysterious pigs, Red is the only one who sees their arrival as something other than friendly. The pigs want bird eggs and they’re not afraid to use giant sling shots to get them.

The new film is a who’s who of the comedy world, with Sudeikis starring alongside Peter Dinklage, Kate McKinnon, Maya Rudolph, Josh Gad, Jillian Bell, Bill Hader, Keegan-Michael Key, Danny McBride, Hannibal Buress and Blake Shelton.

Put down your cell phones and go see The Angry Birds Movie when it slingshots into theatres on May 20, 2016.
