Much Office Sessions: Watch The Darcys Strip Down Their Singles And Cover Foreigner

Darcys Office

Toronto alt-rock duo The Darcys stopped by Much headquarters recently to deliver a stripped-down set as part of our Much Office Session series. Fresh off the road, members Jason Couse and Wes Marskell came to impress—performing minimalist versions of two songs off of their latest album Centerfold, “Miracle” and “Arizona Hwy,” as well as a cover of the Foreigner classic, “I Want To Know What Love Is.” We didn’t see that one coming, but we dug it.

Couse and Marskell also sat down to answer a few questions about their new direction in music, explaining that the ’80s pop-inspired Centerfold is less “dissonant art rock” than their previous albums. The pair agreed that the album is a collection of top-notch “driving music” that people will want to blast in their cars during a summer road trip—and after watching them perform, we agree that Centerfold will be the soundtrack for many long rides this year.
