The long-awaited Amy Winehouse documentary has just released its first official trailer and before you watch it, you may want to grab a few tissues. The emotional trailer details the rise of the British songstress, who died of alcohol poisoning in 2011 at the age of 27, and features a number of never-before-seen home footage of her.
Instead of an out-of-control star, the Amy trailer peels back the layers and reveals a more modest and happy Winehouse as she tells an interviewer: “The more people see of me, the more they’ll realize that all I’m good for is making music.” And she made some truly great music.
