Here’s Your First Look At The Star-Studded ‘The Dead Don’t Die’

Tue, April, 2 by Jasper Myers

The first trailer for a new zombie movie full of A-list actors was released yesterday, and even if it wasn’t an April Fools’ joke, it still had us laughing. The horror-comedy film, written and directed by Jim Jarmusch, is about the town of Centreville squaring off against zombies as they rise from the grave.

The film stars some heavy hitters like Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Chloë Sevigny, Selena Gomez, and Danny Glover.

Beginning  like any typical horror movie trailer, the clip quickly turns comedic. Driver, Murray, Sevigny (who play three police officers), and Swinton (a Scottish morgue worker) are shown ready for battle against the undead, but they don’t quite look like the heroes who will save Centreville. Driver and Murray seem to have great chemistry from the little bit of interaction we get to see in the trailer, so we’re expecting no shortage LOL-worthy moments.

Distributed by Focus Features, the film follows the popular 2000s Scary Movie franchise both in its parody-approach to the horror trope and its long laundry list of stars.

The Dead Don’t Die is out June 14.
