As for TV, fans got a look at new footage from this season of Game of Thrones, as well as first looks at Westworld, Arrow and more.
From film to TV, SDCC delivered on its promise to feature teaser trailers, new footage, and exciting full-length trailers from some of the most anticipated films and TV shows arriving in the next 18 months. Here are some of our faves you definitely don’t want to miss.

Following the death of Henry Cavill’s Superman in Batman V Superman, Batfleck needed some new friends to hang out with while he’s saving the world. Enter Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), who together will try to give DC their version of The Avengers. While the fate of Ben Affleck and his role as Bruce Wayne is unclear following the release of Justice League, the huge success of Gadot as Wonder Woman this year will make Justice League a must-see. In the year 2045, the world has run out of space and the only way for its inhabitants to feel special is by escaping into virtual reality. From director Steven Spielberg comes the film that will provide a cautionary tale of what will happen if we keep looking at our screens and not the world around us. The first teaser trailer for Ready Player One debuted this weekend at Comic Con and shows lead actor Tye Sheridan (Mud, X-Men) trying to find meaning in a post-apocalyptic future only a few decades away from where we are now. It’s nice to know that Canadian icons Rush will still be popular even when the world is ending. (March 30, 2018)
We are now two episodes into Season 7 of Game of Thrones and there’s no slowing down the drive to rule the seven kingdoms. With most of the cast attending this past weekend’s Comic Con, HBO premiered an exclusive new trailer of what’s to come in the remaining episodes this season. In a nutshell, there are lots of hookups, lots of dramatic stares, and what we’re interrupting as Melisandre saying that Daenerys and Jon will rule together. Targaryens FTW. (Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO Canada)
After losing her fiancé Barry Allen in the Season 3 finale, Iris is trying to be strong and move on. But that’s pretty difficult when a new bad guy in town threatens to start killing people unless The Flash return. Looks like we’re gonna have to get Barry back. (October 10 on CTV)
Past seasons of Arrow have been action-packed, but with Season 6, the members of Starling City are on high alert. In order to save the people that he loves, Oliver Queen must return to purgatory and face the place that made him Arrow. (October 12 on CTV)
When season one of HBO’s Westworld aired its finale this past spring, we saw the hosts achieve consciousness and turn on their human visitors. In the short teaser trailer that premiered this weekend at Comic Con, the bloodbath is continuing. Amazingly, or maybe not (he’s made it this far for a reason), William has managed to survive to live another day in Westworld. We have a feeling that Dolores is coming for him.
