Twitter is wearing its heart on its sleeve with this new update: Favourites have now become “likes”.
In a statement released yesterday, the social media company chalked up the change to the heart being easier to understand.
The heart, “is a universal symbol that resonates across languages, cultures, and time zones. The heart is more expressive, enabling you to convey a range of emotions and easily connect with people,” Twitter wrote.

Likes can also be found on Persiscope and Vine, which are both owned by Twitter.
So instead of that funny Vine of Drake dancing being your favourite, we guess you’ll just have to settle for only liking it now.
