Venus Fest Is The Inclusive Feminist Music And Arts Festival You Need To Experience

Coming to Toronto this September, Venus Fest is the ultimate female-powered festival for all your art and music needs.

Announced today, the three-day event takes place at the Opera House and will feature performances by Charlotte Cardin, The Weather Station, The Vaselines, Amaka Queenette, and more.

Venus Fest focuses on cultivating and celebrating the talents of female and non-binary artists. “Venus Fest is held by a team that understands the need for this festival, from a personal standpoint. We are making decisions that account for, and correct, our history and experience,” festival founder Aerin Fogel said in a release. “Our industry will remain fractured until every music organization is working with underrepresented people who have the wisdom that comes from that deeply personal place.”

In addition to live performances, the third iteration of the festival will include installations and free workshops, as well as a number of all ages and youth-focused events. A full list of programming, which includes songwriting workshops and discussion panels can be found here.

Single-night early-bird tickets start at just $19, and some of the workshops are totally free. Tickets can be bought here.
