31 Days Of Holiday Awesome: Super Warm And Stylish Winter Coats

Sat, December, 3 by Hilary Allan

It’s a sad, cold day when you realize that your black leather bomber just won’t cut it as outerwear anymore (even layered over a sweater, with a scarf, hat and mitts). Alas, that day is upon us—December brings in its chilly temperatures, and we’re left with no choice but to bundle up. This year, we want you to leave your bulky parkas behind for a chic upgrade.

We scoured the internet for five parkas that will keep you warm ~and stylish~ this winter!

Colmar_FORAFor a brand that’s been around since 1923, Colmar has done a great job at staying current and stylish. With lots of futuristic looks made from top quality fabrics , Colmar jackets are perfect to keep you warm from the streets to the slopes. {Colmar, $879}

This mighty bomber may leave your bum exposed to the elements, but what it lacks in length it makes up for in warmth. We love that the classic look of Penfield jackets will never go out of style. {Penfield, $265}

Canadian online retailer Live Out There has tons of parkas to choose from, but we were instantly drawn to this vintage-inspired military parka by Denham. It may not be down-filled, but it’s thickly padded cotton is sure to protect you from the elements. We’re suckers for an over-sized parka, and we think we may want to take this one home. {Live Out There, $388}

Just looking at this Community parka has us feeling warm and cozy. It’s got so many features to protect you from the cold, as well as to protect you from committing a fashion crime. {Aritzia, $325}

Long parkas can be tricky to pull off, but trust us when we say—this Uniqlo parka will look good on you. We kind of want to make a ‘Sisterhood of the Travelling Parka’ film for this jacket, but let’s be serious, once you put it on, you’re not going to want to share. {Uniqlo, $99.90}
