Watch Shawn Mendes Perform #FallSongs

It’s officially fall and that means it’s time for sweaters, falling leaves, pumpkin spice and Shawn Mendes’ new album Illuminate.

Mendes’ sophomore album dropped at midnight and to celebrate the latest addition to his discography, the teen singer appeared on The Tonight Show and helped host Jimmy Fallon welcome the new fall season.

Set to the tune of Justin Bieber, Adele, Coldplay, Simon and Garfunkel, The Proclaimers, and Mendes’ own track “Stitches,” Shawn and The Roots performed #FallSongs sent in from Twitter users, and they’re actually pretty good. We would totally buy a fall-inspired album from Mendes. It would go great with our pumpkin flavoured everything.

The singer also performed his latest single “Mercy,” which he released a video for earlier this week, showing off his survival skills by escaping from a sinking car. The trick seems to be continuing to sing while your life is at stake.

Watch The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Monday to Friday at 11:30E on CTV Two and catch repeats weekdays at 4E/1P on Much.
