A new day means a new business venture from the Kardashian/Jenner Klan. This time around it’s the youngest of the famous family. Seventeen year-old Kylie Jenner has announced that she will be starting her own beauty blog, not a big surprise considering what a fan the teen is of posting makeup selfies on her hugely popular Instagram account.
The youngest Jenner already has her own hair extension line, making a beauty blog the next natural step.
We can pretty much guess what we’re going to be seeing on Kylie’s new site. Lots of contouring, lots of promoting her hair line, and of course, lots of lip liner demonstrations. And we’ll totally watch! But Jenner is in a unique position in the world of beauty blogging. She’s a member of one of the most famous and photographed families in the world.
Rather than curate a typical beauty blog, here’s what we really want to see on KylieJenner.com.
Kylie is the daughter of arguably the most famous transgender woman in the world right now. Her new site could offer a safe space for transgender teens and adults looking for specific makeup tips to help them look on the outside the way they feel on the inside.
How To Share
In a family with four older sisters and a mother, we’re pretty sure that Kylie has gotten good at sharing everything from bathroom time to mascara. Knowing what products are safe to share with friends and what could possibly carry infections would be educational for Kylie’s young audience who are excited to try out makeup styles with friends.
But seriously, how does one text/type/eat/live with extra-long nails?
Having access to the best makeup artists and hairstylists in the biz is pretty awesome, but most of the people reading Jenner’s new blog with be DIY’ing their looks. It would be great to have Kylie bring in the experts, but explain step by step (and then step by step again…liquid eyeliner is no joke) so that anyone can master the tricks of the trade.
Watch The Smudge
The Jenners and Kardashians are known for their monochromatic wardrobes and heavy makeup. Real talk on how to get in and out of all white errthing with full hair and face should take up an entire section on Kylie’s new site.
Even with 10 seasons of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and over 28 million Instagram followers, we don’t really know that much about Kylie. A place on her site where Kylie can get candid with fans and tell them more about herself would be a great way to open herself to a new audience who may only see the selfies with lavish cars and clothes.
