It’s no secret that rap royalty, Nicki Minaj, has been in her fair share of celebrity feuds. But now that the remix for Yo Gotti’s Down In The DM (featuring Nicki Minaj) is released, the rapper calls out some celebs that are sure to be familiar to you.
We created a compilation for you on which celebrities she’s addressed in the song and why. Think of it as your guide to Nicki’s call-outs in Down In The DM.
Lyrics: “I said, “Miley wuss good?’/I said, ‘Could you pay my bills like O’Riley? Wuss good?'”
During the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, Nicki Minaj called out Miley Cyrus while receiving her award with the infamous “Miley, what’s good?” quote (“And now… back to this b***h that had a lot to say about me in the press. Miley, what’s good?”). Cyrus criticized the way Nicki expressed herself with her feelings toward the lack of black nominees for the awards, then essentially called Minaj rude. Miley Cyrus had what some fans may think is a look of utter terror on her face when Queen Nicki called her out on television, and she replied saying that the media twisted her words. Looks like the beef’s still not dead!
Lyrics: “Then he put his hands in my pants/ Felt them thick lips got wood/ He said, ‘Kylie wuss good?'”
It’s a little, erm, R-rated to say so the least. But it’s a jab at Kylie Jenner‘s infamous injected pout. This isn’t the first time that Nicki Minaj has referenced the youngest member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan in her music though. In her music video for Feeling Myself (with Beyonce), Nicki wears a Givenchy jersey in one scene that says “pervert 17” in big text. It’s been speculated that this is jab at Kylie Jenner and Tyga’s relationship, since the rapper started dating her while she was underage.
Lyrics: “F— yo mean?/F— your little memes”
Meaning: Remember when Drake and Nicki Minaj were the best of friends? Well clearly she’s still irritated with the Toronto rapper ever since his Twitter feud with her partner, Meek Mill. During this spat, Drake displayed a series of memes during this fight, most of them publicly shown at his concerts, and that’s the big hint that tells us it’s him that she’s ripping on in this track.
And…A Loving Shout-Out:
Lyrics: “Even Queen Bey had to tell ’em I’m the queen”
Meaning: Nicki Minaj and Beyonce collaborated on Feeling Myself, off of Minaj’s latest album The Pinkprint. The two hit it off, and now fans refer to the duo as “queens.” Also, in an improvised instance during a live performance, Beyonce literally called Nicki Minaj the “rap queen.”
Here’s what she said in an affectionate Tweet:

Either way, it looks like Beyonce has Nicki’s back. Minaj lovingly calls her “Queen Bey” too. Looks like it pays off not to cross her!
