Comic-Con came and went with tons of fanfare this weekend in San Diego. We saw Wonder Woman, got a peak at Mockingjay and get ready for another Gaurdians of the Galaxy before the first one even comes out. This year, the ladies were in charge. The Women Who Kick Ass panel was stacked with veterans like Sons of Anarchy‘s Katey Sagal and newbies like Game of Thrones‘ Maisie Williams.

We took a look at the boys who are set to take the throne on Friday. Now here are the top five girls set to dominate the nerd world.

Entertainment Weekly: Women Who Kick Ass Panel And Presentation - Comic-Con International 2014

Tatiana Maslany:
A native Saskatchewinian. Spent a night dancing with Amy Poehler. Narrated the David Cronenberg movie Eastern Promises. She did improv for ten years. Has been in every Canadian TV show for the past five years (more or less). Guest starred in a Lonely Island skit with Pharrell Williams about hugs. Her bae is handsome as eff.

Her Nerd Credentials:

She stars in the critically acclaimed Space series Orphan Black, she’s scored a slew of nominations for her role on the series, and is getting invites to the biggest award shows of the year. She plays something like a million clones, all with their own personality and backgrounds.

She performed the voice of Redcoat in an animated series based on the Canadian superhero Captain Canuck. Fellow nerd girl crush, Laura Vandervoort from Bitten, also contributed a voice to the series.

What’s On Deck:
More Orphan Black. What more could you want?

Gal Gadot (above):
She served for two years in the Israeli Defense Forces. Was Miss Israel in 2004 and competed in the 2004 Miss Universe pageant. Owns a hotel in Tel Aviv with her husband. She does her own stunts. Owns a Ducati. Is about to have the pressure of the superhero fan world on her back as she takes on the role of Wonder Woman.

Her Nerd Credentials:

She played the sexy and bad ass Gisele in Fast & Furious, Fast & Furious 5 and Fast & Furious 6. She knows a thing of two about holding court on a mega popular blockbuster series.

What’s On Deck:
Well… she is the new Wonder Woman. That should put her in the nerd girl crush pantheon for the rest of her life. They already have her booked for three movies as WW; Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman and Justice League.

HBO's "Game Of Thrones" Panel And Q&A - Comic-Con International 2014

Rose Leslie (above):
She starred as Gwen in Downton Abbey. Her parents own a castle in Aberdeenshire. Her great great grandfather was the mayor of Mexico City. Gave herself a bleeding nose after crying so hard watching I Am Sam. Has the most beautiful hair ever.

Her Nerd Credentials:

She is only one of the most lusted after women as the wildling Ygritte on Game of Thrones. Not to mention her character is decisive, powerful and dominant in a world full of beast-like men. Plus, she has an on again off again relationship with her on screen love, Kit Harrington. #JonxYgritte

She also starred in one episode of the UK show Utopia about a group of people who come across the manuscript of a graphic novel that predicts all the major disasters of the past century.

What’s On Deck:
Woah. Just watched the trailer for The Honeymoon, her new horror movie. That looks dayum scary. Horror movies should teach everyone never to go to a cottage ever.

She is also pegged to star alongside Vin Diesel and Michael Caine in The Last Witch Hunter, where she will play a witch that Diesel has to enlist to help fight an evil coven in New York. Then the fall in looooove.

Natalie Dormer (above):
Hoped to go to Cambridge to study history but didn’t get the grades she needed. Was active on her school’s public speaking team. Looks great with a half shaved head. Took part in the 2008 ParkPoker.com Women’s World Open in London where she came in second. Is engaged to Irish director Anthony Byrne.

Her Nerd Credentials:

Like Rose, she is one of the gorgeous power-wielders in Game of Thrones, Margaery Tyrell. I have to say she is my favourite character. She has so much savvy and knows exactly when to play dumb and when to show her powerful side to get what she wants.

She played Pvt. Lorraine in Captain America: The First Avenger where she tries to seduce Steve Rogers aka. Captain America.

She played Jamie Moriarty in the Sherlock Holmes adaptation Elementary. When the part was being developed, the writers had Dormer in mind for the role.

What’s On Deck:
You may have spotted Natalie in the trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. She plays Cressida, a director from the capital who accompanies Katniss to document her “adventures.” That was spoiler free right? She may or may not be in the second part. I mean… you could just find out by Google-ing it.

In After Earth, she played the dead older sister of Jaden Smith and the daughter of Will Smith.

She played one of Shaliene Woodley’s friends in the Dauntless faction in the new young adult dystopian action film, Divergent.

What’s On Deck:
She stars in the new Mad Max: Fury Road. The trailer came out today and it looks awesome. Her character is named Toast and from the trailer it looks like she is part of a bad ass dessert girl gang who all look cool and ruffian like.

The sequel to Divergent, Insurgent is expected to come out next year.
