Yas Kween! Broad City Announce Their Season 4 Premiere Date

It’s been a minute since the Season 3 finale of Broad City last April, and while the ground breaking series has been renewed for a fourth and fifth season, we’ve yet to hear a premiere date for the next season. Until now.

Broad City creators and stars Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson posted a video to their social media accounts today announcing the return of Broad City and the premiere of the fourth season for summer 2017.

It’s not an exact date, but we’ll take it.

Summer 2017 may feel like a distant date, but both women have been busy professionally and personally since Season 3 wrapped in the spring, including using their platforms to campaign for Hillary Clinton.

Glazer shot the feature film Rock That Body in September, a comedy written by Broad City producer Paul W. Downs, who plays Trey on the series, and Broad City writer Lucia Aniello. In addition to Glazer and Downs, the film also stars Scarlett Johansson, Zoe Kravitz, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ty Burrell, Colton Haynes and Demi Lovato. Glazer will also be lending her vocals to the upcoming animated film Emojimovie: Express Yourself, co-starring TJ Miller and James Corden.

Glazer and Downs also teamed up in April for their hilarious three-part series Time-Travelling Bong, which was also directed by Aniello.

Jacobson has been busy on the big screen as well, appearing in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and filming Person to Person with Michael Cera and Tavi Gevinson, which will premiere at Sundance in January. Jacobson is set to get animated in the upcoming film The Lego Ninjago Movie, which also stars Dave Franco, Michael Peña, Kumail Nanjiani, Zach Woods, Fred Armisen, Olivia Munn, Justin Theroux, and Jackie Chan.

Like her Broad City alter ego, Jacobson doubles as an illustrator, and released her third book Carry This Book in October.
