When we watched the awkward video of Taylor Swift and Harry Styles yesterday, our first thought wasn’t “O-M-G, how awkward!” Actually, we thought, “Oh hey, there are the Haim sisters!” That has become quite the common thought lately. Many have made a big fuss over Taylor Swift’s many, many friendships, but Este, Alana and Danielle Haim (of the amazing band Haim) have friend circles that are just as big, if not bigger.
Over the past few years, Haim have become huge stars in their own right. Their debut album Day Are Gone was widely cast as one of the best albums of 2013 and the band has busy touring all over the world. So it comes as no surprise that these globe-trotting musicians have struck up some friendships along the way especially at those busy, busy music festivals.
Here, we’ve broken down some of Haim’s most famous pals:
Obviously, they’ve been spotted recently hanging with Taylor’s badass crew of famous ladies including Lorde and Jaime King. If you look closely, Este and Alana are behind them.
They were of course invited to Taylor’s big birthday party last month, just casually hanging out with Beyoncé (who they once covered), Jay Z, Justin Timberlake and Sam Smith.
But when they’re not chilling with Taylor, they can be seen arm-in-arm backstage with Grimes and Angel Haze.
Or Kesha and Julian Casablancas.
Aaron Paul, Mia Moretti and Caitlin Moe.
Sharing bagels with Chromeo.
Vampire Weekend’s Rostam Batmanglij.
British rockers Palma Violets.
Florence and the Machine.
And just chatty up Pharrell.
Heck, this wasn’t even the first time Haim have been spotted with Harry Styles.
But nothing will ever top that time they formed a supergroup with Hanson called HAIMSON.
